How do I get to the airport?

Augusta Regional Airport at Bush Field (AGS) is located on Highway 56 Spur (Doug Barnard Parkway), 4 miles south of I-520 East (Bobby Jones Expressway), Exit #10 and proceed south on Highway 56 Spur.

From I-20, take Exit #196a to I-520 East.

From Fort Gordon Go out Gate 5 you will be on Tobacco Road. Drive straight out Tobacco Road it will lead you right into the airport.

Which airlines operate at AGS and where do they fly?

AGS is served by two airlines. Delta offers daily service to Atlanta. American Airlines offers daily service to Charlotte, Dallas, and Washington D.C.

Can I get to cities other than these two cities?

Through these cities you can connect with most major airlines and fly to any destination in the world.

How do I make airline reservations?

There are many ways to book tickets for a flight. You can book tickets on the AGS website. Book your flight now. You can also book directly with an airline through their website or by calling their 1-800 reservations line. Many airlines now charge extra for this service. Another easy way to book a ticket is through a travel agent. Travel agents can also assist with booking hotels, car rentals and vacation packages.

How early should I arrive for my flight?

Most airlines recommend you arrive 90-120 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. If you are checking luggage, you MUST be checked in at least 45 minutes prior to the flight. Please note that if you have a checked bag that needs to be checked, you may be subject to miss your flight if the bag is not processed 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

What if a passenger requires special assistance from a companion to or from the gate boarding areas?

Companion passes can be issued for guests meeting or dropping off minor children and for special needs passengers who require assistance to or from the gate boarding area. Please contact your airline to make arrangements. Click here for phone numbers.

Who do I contact about my lost luggage?

Each airline handles questions and claims regarding lost baggage. Please call the baggage claim phone number for the airline you flew to AGS. Click here for a complete list.

Who do I contact about lost items?

For items left on airplanes, please contact your airline. For items left at the TSA Security Check-Point please call 706-772-6581. If you believe that you left something in the terminal area, please call the Airport at 706-793-1137 Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

How and with whom do I file a compliment or complaint?

If a compliment/complaint involves an airline’s fares, service, schedules or personnel, a formal compliment/complaint should be filed with the appropriate airline. Click here for phone numbers.

What is the cost of parking at the airport?

The first 30 minutes of parking is free. Each additional 30 minutes is $1.00. Daily maximum for short term parking is $12.00. Daily maximum for long term parking is $10.00.

Where should I park if I am just picking someone up?

Visitors may park in either the short term or long term lot. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes. Parking at the curb front in the passenger pick up and drop off location is prohibited. This area is restricted to active loading and unloading of passengers. Cars left unattended for any reason for any length of time in front of this area will be ticketed and are subject to be towed at the owner’s expense.

Which rental car agencies operate at AGS?

How do I have someone paged?

To have someone in the terminal building paged, please call the airline on which they are traveling.

Are you hiring?

All hiring for Augusta Regional Airport is handled directly through Augusta-Richmond County Human Resources Department (phone 706-821-2303 / fax 706-821-2867). Open positions are posted at the Augusta-Richmond County web site www.AugustaGA.gov (select Human Resources). You can apply for positions in person at the Human Resources Department on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Airport Tenants: Each of the airport tenants (airlines, rental cars, restaurant, etc.) hire individually. It is best if you come out to the airport and visit each tenant.

Is there a restaurant at the airport?

Par 3 Bar & Grille serves various food and drink items in the gate area past passenger screening. Wings Bistro also serves various items in the main terminal next to baggage claim. Vending machines are available in the main terminal and the gate area.

Is there an ATM at the airport?

There is an ATM located in the main terminal adjacent to the passenger waiting area, as well as one located in the hold room beside the vending machines.

Is Bush Field the only airport in Augusta?

Augusta Regional Airport at Bush Field is part of the Augusta Airport System and the only airport in the Central Savannah River Area that serves both commercial and civil aviation flights. Daniel Field located off Wrightsboro Road provides services to general aviation aircraft.
