AGS Highlights Local Artists this Spring!
Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) is excited to provide the traveling public with amazing works of art and live performances this spring!
The AGS Art Committee selected several, still and performance, artists to highlight this Spring and during Masters™ Week.
The airport is the perfect venue to highlight the local art community. These artists are given the opportunity to showcase their talent to thousands of people traveling through the airport. Two 2D artists will have their works hung in the gate area of the commercial terminal.
Gretchen Hash-Heffner is a watercolor artist from Aiken South Carolina. Gretchen grew up in Pennsylvania and loves to work with all mediums and subject matter.
Ansleigh Youngblood is a recent graduate of Grovetown High School. She loves to be creative and traveled to Italy to study communications and art.
Tim McSherry was selected to have his 3D work displayed in the airports private, general aviation, terminal. Tim is a sculpturer who grew up in Colorado but now lives in Evans Ga. He began his career sculpting and selling candles all over the country. He also has a passion for graphic arts and design.
Musicians from across the region will also provide entertainment to those traveling through the airport during Masters week, April 4th – April 11th. These artists will perform in the gate area for those awaiting their departing flight during various times throughout the day.
The musicians scheduled include; Javonne Jones, Bill Karp, Matt Dahlheimer, Fred Williams, Berita& Roger, Phaze 360, Adam Thompson Harris, and John Hobbs.
“The Airport is pleased to provide the venue to highlight many of our local artists and performers” said Herbert L. Judon Jr., Airport Executive Director. “Their works will undoubtedly provide entertainment, enjoyment, and cement a memorable experience for visitors transiting through the Airport.
